If you've not heard the cool news, 20% of our sales goes to a nonprofit which helps spread the idea of bold kindness we love and hope to promote. This will change over the course of a couple of months and vary base on the need and demand that we can support - as we want to spread our support near and far.

International Book Project

International Book Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that collects, sorts, and ships donated books in response to requests from around the world. We seek to promote literacy in underserved areas of the world, both domestic and abroad. Since our founding in 1966, we have shipped more than 6.8 million books worldwide. By 2020, we hope to ship 500,000 books annually to schools, libraries, churches, community organizations, and Peace Corps volunteers.  At its International Literacy Day, UNESCO stated, “Literacy is not merely the skill to read and write. It is a transformation process that empowers individuals, broadens their critical thinking, and provides them with the ability to act.” Through our work, the International Book Project seeks to ignite millions of young minds that will shine a light for the future of their communities and their countries. Our successes, both present and future, belong to you.

Mission & Vision

International Book Project collects, sorts, and ships donated books in response to requests from around the world. We seek to promote literacy in underserved areas of the world, both domestic and abroad.

Our Impact

In 2017, we sent more than 300,000 books to 45 different countries, including 90,000 books to Houston, TX to assist in rebuilding school libraries after Hurricane Harvey.

We provided bookshelves and more than 6,000 books to start home-libraries for 52 KY families—including recently resettled refugees and Habitat for Humanity homeowners.

As part of our Books as Bridges pen pal program, we paired 1,342 US students, mostly in Central Kentucky,  with 1,349 students abroad to strengthen writing skills, promote cultural understanding, and encourage global friendship.
